FD,FC motor ?

I am looking to see what bang I can get for my buck.
I want to know what HP #'s a stock JDM FD is putting out
also a TII HP #'s JDM

Also which tranny is longer the TII FC or FD? both JDM

Reason is I want to go with 1 of these in my 69 ke15 Rolla stock.

I will be sand blasting and painting this summer, so I wanted to throw in a motor.
and wanted to leave it stock and running the way I get it.

Also what complications does anybody think I will runn into. I want to use a standalone, but no right of the back, is it possible to run a stock ECU to get me going out the gate?

Im looking for ideas, my painter is doing all work and is a rotor head coming staright from PR but I wanted to have an engine in there before sandblasting and painting so it can look better after reinstall.

thanks in advance for any info,

Its time to go crazy on my dream car :Kill1:

AFAIK the only difference between the FD and FC transmission is the FD transmission has the special mount on it for the FD's "power plant frame" and the shifter position is different. But the physical dimensions are the same and they even have the same gear ratios as the late FC. There's no external differences from US to JDM.

Use a Turbo II motor, it's just simpler, especially if you want to do stock ECU. The 89-91 T2 motors are internally almost the same as the FD. Stock HP is the same 255HP for JDM and US for the S6 FD, but then goes up to 276HP (the maximum allowed, so who knows what it really was) later in Japan. It's 180HP for early T2, 200HP for late. AFAIK this is the same in Japan as well but not 100% sure on that.

So FD motor swap harder in a sence of the wiring?

Another issue and reason I asked about tranny, the lenght it will sit in my cab.
I see you said there the same, just shifter is located different. I need to see how much I can move the engine forward, but these issues will be delt with with my friend from pr.

TII is also cheaper and does seem easier from the simplicity side of the house.
Thanks for the HP #'s

I need to see which FD they are selling when it comes time to purchase. I have purchased a TII from ebay that ran excellent and no problems what so ever. Im hoping to put of on rebuild and enjoy the car while I save my money for a solid rebuild at a later time. I hate downed cars :wallbash:
