Electric water pump on 74 13b
 

Anyone ever done this? Is it possible? And If so how lol and where would one get the parts?

Done many of times.

If you just search "electric water pump" in the generational forums you'll find the adapters needed. Several vendors make them. Then it's a matter of choosing your pump and controller. Nothing fundamentally different about a '74 13B than later generations except as I recall the earlier 13Bs have one less bolt hole on the front iron at the water pump mount. May need to plug up said hole in adapter.

I've searched it but only found one electric one that is billet and mounts onto your mount, is there a great benefit in having a electric water pump?

For street use, not really.

Oh ok, didn't know If it was a good idea, thank you for your advice I'll run the stock one, are the later model pumps better? Or do they push the same amount?

I have an electric water pump in my Morris cooling a S5 RX7, not that the type of engine matters as it is an electric pump moving water around the cooling system.
It can be mounted anywhere in the hose line that is convenient.
It has been in for about five years and works well in the Tropical North of Australia and the temperate South.

I have one on my Rx2. It's a 1985 style 12a engine. But I'm using an aluminum FC water pump housing and 1st gen aluminum water pump. Not that this matters...

All I did was buy a universal MR.Gasket electric motor meant for driving water pumps. There are a few different brands, but they are still pretty much the same thing. Jegs, Summit, and other places like this will have it.

Works well, looks cool, reduces parasitic drag on the motor and frees up HP up top. It also completely removes the problem of slipping belts or cavitation caused by spinning the water pump to fast. All in all, it's a decent upgrade that only costs about $100 bucks...
