Clutch master swap

I finally got my Rx2 to start again. So I figured I would at least move it under its own power into the garage. Nope! Clutch went straight to the floor. After messing around with it, I believe both the clutch master and slave were bad.

So I pulled the clutch master and slave from my 85 Rx7. Clutch master needed a little work to fit but no big deal. But I am unable to get any pressure after the swap to bleed it out.

I know this has been done. So for those that have done it, did you keep the stock Rx2 rod that is connected to the pedal? Or use the 1st gen rod? I'm not sure the Rx2 rod is long enough to get the full stroke of the master....

Stock push-rod is longer as the pedal assembly has a built in shim on the plate facing the firewall. It should be fine with rx7 clutch master but its best to use the adjustable slave push rod if youre using stiff pressure plate. If not, extend either rod by no more than .50". On all my rx3s, i swapped the entire pedal assembly to FB with rx2/3 push rod so its perfect.

So I must have a leak somewhere that's not letting me build pressure. Or the 1st gen master is bad as well...
