Carbon Fiber hoods from shine
 

I just wanted to know when I get a rough price today would anybody be interested in doing a group buy on custom made carbon fiber hoods for us old school peeps. I would like to get a solid list of at least 10 definite people who would like to do this.This guy is located up north in Ontario.Just let me know, i pretty sure we could get a pretty good deal. :dubs: :smiley309

I'm interested in a 71 RX-2 hood too. I've got a banged up one that was dropped in shipping, but the center section is all pristine if you need one to start with.

I'd probably be game for a RX-2 and RX-3 hood, depending on prices. Mike

Oh check this out im going save big on shipping because i plan on picking them up personally.The guy is located in ontario so the drive is not that big of a deal. I will rent a mini u-haul trailer for 30.00 bucks and fill the truck up for about 80.00 and just go and scoop them up myself, what you guys think sounds like a plan.I just called my friend to tell the dude up north about doing a package deal just waiting for a call.Oh I don't know if you guys saw my other post but I custom make turbo exhaust manifolds for the rx2 i will post pics today when i get home sorry it is taking so long

Its a no go guys he doesn't want to do the hoods cuz at the present moment it is kinda of hard to get a hold of carbon fiber material

If this is something RX2 owners are serious about doing I might be able to get it done with some real commitment. Let's keep that list going so we have a real idea and I'll check into a minimum requirement to recoupe labor costs.

Yeah, I checked into it and I'd pretty much need ten sets pre-sold before I can commit to this. There is just no way I have the capital to front for the molds. Plus we need someone who is willing to let us borrow their perfect hood since mine has a few flaws.

I'm not asking for any money yet but we at least need 10 "serious-as-a-freakin'-heart-attack" people to step up and say they want one before I can get us some real estimates into time and cost. If we can even get to that point I'll start asking for deposits but from the way it looks I doubt it :(

Okay sounds good how much are we looking at with 10 committed people. Guys spread the word on these hoods and lets get this going, Im willing to put my hood up for the mold.

The guy said he was willing to do it buy on hoods no extra's just the hoods on top of that I already sent my hood out for a mold so now we need a mold too.
