Autocrossing an Rx2
 

Anyone autocross an Rx2? The emission programs in my area are getting tougher and tougher. So, I am thinking of building my Rx2 to autocross, since I will not have to smog it.

What suspension setup have you used on your Rx2?

Rx2's can handle quite well. There is/was a red one in nor cal road racing ITA in the front of the pack. Another deuce in norcal with a bridgeport autocrossing. The cars are light.

Not uncommon to put 1st gen 7 suspension in there.

The '2 I picked up about a month ago had been auto-x'd before. It has koni's, springs, bigger swaybars, RB stage 1 & 2 kits, and came with a set of 13x8 Revolutions. Apparently it did fairly well in the past. I want to try it out but I just heard today that they quit doing the autocrosses in my area. Will have to look into that.

Mike, let me know if you want to sell some of that Rx2 stuff...

Heh.. uh, not really as it's all bolted on the car right now and I don't have the stock replacement parts. It also handles like it's on rails so it would have to be a very tempting offer for me to remove anything.
