Advice on a Rotary Rebuild

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone can help please? My brother has imported an RX7 and from the word go there's been problems with it. He has recently been told by a garage here in Ireland that the engine needs a rebuild due to a number of things failing in the engine, the O-Rings being the biggest of the lot. We are having problems tracking down anyone who will rebuild the engine and it is looking like we will have to come to the UK to have it done, can anyone recommend anywhere to have this done for a reasonable price either on the mainland or in Northern Ireland?
The company he bought it through are being less than helpful and are saying that it is his responsibility to fix but surely, at 31k on the clock, unless its been tampered with, the engine does not need rebuilding for another 20k approx? The car is 12 years old if that makes a difference. Please excuse my ignorance on this matter, I'm just putting the question out there to help my brother as he's running out of options really.

Thanks in advance,

Lynda

Lynda,
there is a company in England that makes special apex seals for the Rx7. They also build engine that last, which can be hard to find. I do not recall the name, but I have faith that you can find if you do a computer search.
Best of luck.

Hayward Rotary Engines is the absolute best place in the UK for a rebuild - rota110sman@yahoo.com is Carl's email, drop him a line.
