As for SP's being rare... well RX-3's are rare so obviously SP's are desirable. Honestly though the RX-3 wagon is probably way more scarce nowdays. Even the RX-4's, RX-2's and any old Mazda rotary car with more than 2 doors are more rare. What about R100's? I would love a RX-3 coupe but there are probably more of them left in the States than any of the other models. |

My advice would be to wait until you have the car in front of you so you can physically see how bad the (structural) rust really is (frame rails, strut towers, etc)... then make a realistic, educated decision.
I got a call from a local who has several RX-3 trunk lids. I will get his # for you this week. Remind me if you dont a pm from me by next Monday. |

The auto transport Co. just called and said he will be here in Los Angeles ahead of schedule.. maybe as soon as thursday or early friday..
you must be excited! hell, i'm excited and it isnt even my car!!!! i have never seen one here in ohio... i think most were sold on the west coast. i dont have any facts to support that but it does seem like there are more out that way than anywhere else.
Most of the early Rxs that i know about were either sold West Coast or in Texas/LA area I think alot of it had to do with those being the early points of entry for Mazda and that is where most of the older dealers are as well.

It is here. It is a parts car! If you need something..speak up now...
Pmd's ya.
post some good pic's if you can....
thanks |
The nose lip chrome should bring some good $$ it looks to be pretty clean, and even with the shape of the rest of the car i didn't see a lot of damage on the hood that is always highly desireable and is the 5speed that will drop into most any other old school. I PM'd you also
PM'd you too. Need original shifter knob & handle, some trunk pieces as per my PM. Also forgot to tell you I need the lower passenger side dash piece that has the glovebox if the plastic around the vent handle isn't broken.
Restore it.

I am $1900.00 into this and hope I can atleast breakeven and keep some spare parts for the RHD RX3.. oh, and the rear louver is MIA... along with the rear upper rear window stainless trim .. Truck driver thinks it probally blew off the car while it was on the top of the carrier facing backwards... I think I understand why he faced it backwards...but why he put it on the top instead of the bottom kills me...
oh man that sucks well if it is any hope nail the shipping company for 250 that is the high side of that type of louver and trim. Now you know why my louver is missing the same thing happend to mine as well.
IF they balk at the price tell them to replace it but make sure you give them a deadline like 2 weeks. |
Just do what I did - got get a Junk 808 and swap out the rusted panels with new ones.
Japan2LA I sent you a PM
