2pc to 1pc driveshaft on my RX2

I have an RX2 with a 13b swap and not sure about the tranny, but it's a 5spd with the tunnel cut back to make it fit. My question is that I have a 2pc driveshaft and the center support bearing is shot (the rubber is torn all around) . Can I use a 1pc driveshaft out of another RX or am I SOL?
Also the yoke on the driveshaft has threaded holes and not evenly spaced. Thanx.

PS I searched the threads with no luck.

Can you not get it repaired? If not just get a new one made, won't cost more than a couple hundred $$

The 2 piece is a design concession to alleviate a harmonic in the one piece design

search around for any driveshaft shop in SD. otherwise, there are several places in LA where it can be done.

The only one piece that would bolt right on is off a short pumpkin 808, I've done it before. If you can find a semi trucking machine shop, they can build you a driveshaft.

Looks like I'm going to Driveline Specialties. I was hoping for a cheaper solution because this car is already bleeding me dry. Thanks for all the advise.

I may have a rx2 1 piece custom driveshaft. Send me pm of the measurement. From the tranny to the rear pumkin. And if u could measure the bolt pattern on the diff. Is been awhile but It might be the driveshaft sitting I'm my garage. That I had custom made years ago. Let me know

A local driveshaft shop is making me a one piece. It should be ready for pick up Monday or
Tuesday. I'll post pix when I get it and the price wasn't too bad @ $180.

929 sedan...long nose carrier... same

.. why you would bother though ..with those pissy unis and now a critical speed issue..

OP-- get the donut repaired or shell out for a custom
.. the smart move is back in with a double

.. dont make me whack you with the physics as to why

Physics or not I got my now 1pc driveshaft. I've taken it over 80mph and noticed no vibrations.:pfanndina

its not just about vibration.. its about critical speed..

this is flexing of the shaft at speed
.. a single must be made of larger diameter and thicker wall tube to counter the effects
.. over certain length it becomes impractical..
the two piece can be built with less inertia out of normal materials..and the fidelity of the balance can be lesser for mass production.... that is the reason mazda went there

if you get a single.. it is usually 3 inch , thick-wall. and a smart move is to 1350 spec unis.. it usually will have more inertia losses than the double
