Thought this was interesting. Comparison of the previous half-bridge vs the streetport. The half-bridge was at 23psi and the streetport was at 26 psi.

Not real sure. Can't be injector staging, though. Secondaries come in at 6-7 psi.

Haha O.M.G! I just saw your Nova on youtube. Im not sure what to even say!

Its a beautifully crafted Nova. I love your detailed and hard work put into it! Im just scratching my head because you could have easily stuffed a 454 or a 502 in it making gobs of power, but you went for the underdog! I mean it shows you have put a LOT of custom work in this beast!

I have nothing against rotaries or rotaries in other cars. I mean I have an FD. :D Im simply very curious why you decided with a 13b as opposed to keeping it Chevy. And if the answer for the f of it, them Im good with that. :D

Just put a load cell shift knob from flatshifter.com on the G101A. It was expensive, but well worth it. WOT throttle shifts are FAST and smooth as butter. Car is prepped for the track and ready to go. Going to Ennis in Oct. Shooting for 10s, 1.4x 60', and 130+mph.

Took the Nova to the track on Friday. Overall, I was really happy with the way it performed. The large diameter rear sway bar we added since its last trip to the track (5 years ago!) did it's job well. The car leaves the line much flatter now and is much more controllable. Shifts with the G-Force and load cell shift knob were smooth and fast. The only problem we had was that the load cell shift knob would randomly chatter and cut spark. On the first run, it chattered in second gear. In the second run, it chattered on fourth gear and cut spark an additional 4-5 times. Need to figure out what's going on with that. In the end, at only 22psi, it managed a 10.3 ET @ 125 mph (with spark cutting out in 4th gear, hurting the mph significantly). I've had it up to 30 psi on the street a number of times. Once the shift knob issue is fixed, and the boost is cranked up, this thing has 9s in it.....no problem. Picks and videos to come as soon as I get them all collected.

Did quite a bit of work on the car since the last track outing. Most are related to getting better 60' times.

Load Cell Shift Knob - We sent the knob back to the manufacturer who confirmed that there was a defect. They were good enough to replace it with another. Testing shows that it is working like it should now. We've dropped the spark cut during shifts from 175ms to 150ms.

Anti-Roll Bar - When watching the videos of the launch in slow motion, we saw that the driver side tire was compressing drastically, and then bouncing like a basketball. To help with this, we have adjusted the rear single adjustable QA1s from 4 clicks to 7, and made a drag-style anti-roll bar that faces backwards and ties into the round tubing that the coilovers tie into. The ARB diameter remains 1.125" but has 3/16" wall thickness vs. the previous 1/8". Arm length has decreased from 11" to 6". Should be considerably stiffer. We made it a bolt on affair so we can still return to the OEM style anti-roll bar for the street.

Titan Flow Control Orifice - The launch videos show quite a shock to the tires. We dropped the clutch flow control from 0.028" to 0.025" to soften the hit a bit by letting the clutch slip a bit more.

Vehicle Speed Sensor - The Haltech Launch Anti-Lag was previously tied into a button on the steering wheel. Synchronizing the button and clutch release is damn near impossible. The datalog of the second run showed the RPMs spike about 500 rpm before the clutch caught and started bringing the RPMs down. To remedy this, we installed a hall effect sensor on the driveshaft so we could tie the launch control into a mph signal vs the button. This should allow the car to rollout a tiny bit before the timing retard turns off. Hopefully this will make launching more consistent and hit the tires a tiny bit softer. This also allows us to do boost by mph. The plan is to run 18psi until 35mph and then ramp up to 30psi by 60mph. We'll see how it goes.

More Front End Travel & Softer Springs - To help with weight transfer, we installed new QA1 front coilovers with an additional inch of travel and switched from more performance handling oriented 350 lb/inch springs to 275 lb/inch springs. Hopefully the additional weight transfer to the rear tires will keep the tires from spinning more than a few revolutions on the launch.

Bigger Slicks - We were barely able to fit 28x11.0x15 slicks. This is up from the previous 28x10.5x15 slicks. These offer a full 1.5" of additional tread width per tire. The old slicks only measured 9.5" tread width while the new ones are a true 11". This should make a significant difference in traction.

Ballast - We added an additional 35lbs of steel ballast behind the rear fiberglass bumper.

Anticipating additional traction, we've upped the launch rpm from 6250 rpm to 6750.

The plans is to hit the Ennis Test and Tune this Friday night to see if we can break into the 9's.

As a fan of both musclecars and rotaries, it is just so *weird* hearing that sound come from that car!
Not saying I don't like it - it's just messing with my head. :D

I work on muscle cars all day everyday and dang never thought i would see the day that a rotorty was powering a nova. Not hating thats pretty bad ass. Good job!
