13b into ae86

hey guys, after searching for a rx7 i decided id rather keep my corolla. Ive put over $10k into my ae86 but i want to be different then others so ive decdied to go rotary power for it. Im not a newbie and im seruios about doing this. Does anyody have links of people who put 13b's into miatas, 510's, or any other non mazda cars? I want to get peoples opinions on wiring and stuff. I plan in goin Stand alone fuel managment system. Thanks guys.

www.bryanf.com has a 13b powered 510. The site's currently down, but you can view the cached version if you go to google, type in rotary 510, and click "cached" on bryanf.com link

there was a three rotor hachiroku in one edition of best motoring.. or was it option? Anyway, the magazine guys were cruising around at night with the camera on, and they see this 86 up ahead, so they pull up to him. Then the guy proceeds to floor it, and at freeway speeds takes off like the magazine guys are standing still, and they all go nuts. it is so fucking cool.

In other words, GO FOR IT! A rotary 86 would kick mucho ass.

I love 86's (watch too much intial D ;) ) I was thinking about a rotary one too.

I have seen that video and its from option I don't know witch one. That was awesome it was like warp speed!

Ya may want to ask this question on www.performanceforums.com as there are a lot or ae86 drivers down here. I do know of a 13bt ae86 that was built in South Asutralia.

Another site you may want to ask on is www.toymods.org.au

Engine swapping always boils down to this (includes people asking about 20B swaps):

If you know your way around metal cutting tools and welders, engine swapping is easy.

If you don't, you're going to have to pay through the nose to have someone else do it for you.

If you have to ask, you belong to the second group.

ive done swaps before, its just that i was about to go sr20det into my corolla but decided to go rotory. I was probably goin to go stand alone 2 to make wiring very easy. well see what i can do... i just want to do lots of research first.

Thats a good thing to do. Reserch can't hurt you it can only make you more prepared but asking on this forum is almost a waste of time since we thing you should put a rotary in anything that is small and fast. or that could just be me..

Like a rotary Lotus Europa or Elan?

SR20DET in a ae86. I have a pic of one. Might want to look into it. Might be a better choice in terms of reliability. And might last longer over time. But its just a thought.

I have more of the same car, but ones from the front, and a side shot close up kinda. Ill post them if you want to see them.
