who still rebuilds motors?
Hello
I'm researching who still rebuilds rotary motors in the NW. I'm up in Vancouver which gives me the option to head north to Seattle area or south to salem area. I know pineapple racing and Atkins but they probably out of my price range. Are there any other reputable shops that anyone can vouch for and maybe pricing if you've dealt with them? Thanks for the help! |
first stop performance in clearview, WA.
1st Stop Performance offers exceptional services at reasonable prices rebuilt my tii motor, and a few others for me. been doing rotary since the 1970s |
Ok thanks for the info. Do you know about pricing? Pineapple and Atkins run about 3200-4000.

What kind of motor do you have? Are you looking for a good quality stock rebuild or something wild and crazy?

side note, what ever came of that 1985 I sold you in 2007? Thanks for the heads up. Does anybody have prices for the services they received? I ended up selling it to a guy on this forum (NA-FC Abuser) for $1000. Had more work to do than I had time or money for. I honestly don't know where it is now but hopefully still on the road. Life has changed for the better now so I just picked up a 85 GSL-SE that might need a rebuild. We are going to try to get it to run first. |
Its a do-able "at home" job I rebuilt my 89 GTU I had to buy a new center iron, swapped for an rx8 e shaft and the cost of the rebuild kit from atkins came out to 1,200 ish. I followed the video atkins sells to rebuild engines and rented the tools I didn't have from autozone. and bam a couple weekends later you have a fresh motor.

I can also vouch for ArmyOfOne. He has built 2 of my motors, one for Mr.Goodnight and NA FC Abuser. Both FC Abuser and I Have witnessed him close up several motors and he is very meticulous and thorough.
Give him a pm or look him up on Facebook |
