This is the RPNW thread; not Pineapple Racing's.

Do you want to work that into a paintless dent repair day as well, with some sort of group discount? I have half a dozen little dings that I want to repair on my car. I'm sure some of the other guys do too. Maybe you could sell and install some of that Clear Bra stuff also. Lots of "restoration" related ideas that can be exploited for the benefit of all. Let me know if you want to do something like this and I will put it on the schedule. The date we need to fill is May 19th.

Hey that sounds great!! My web site is inop thanks to Dex...it will be up later this week, otherwise I'd have everyone look at it to see the services we offer. I am definately game for some type of group discount service and the May date sounds dooable. I'll throw some kind of pricing list out there. BBQ sound good also?

Blake,

Just wanted to say thanks for setting up the Tech session! I was the guy with the rx-8 standing in the back of the room. I meant to find out who you were so I could give you money to join RPNW.

How about a Steve Kan Tuning-Tech day?

I made a thread here:

https://www.rx7club.com/nw-rx-7-forum-33/steve-kan-tuning-portland-summer-634062/

I plan on spending the effort needed to actually make this happen.

Too bad the dyno across the street from Pineapple isn't a Mustang, that would have been handy.

Anyhow, just a thought.

Regards,
Justin Wade

Steve Kan is a nice guy. I met him at Sevenstock, along with a lot of other people you hear about on the internet. I would have liked to talk to him more but I had a table with Rick Engman, Francesco Ianetti, Carlos Lopez and Rob to get back to (that's not a conversation you want to miss, obviously). However, I don't know what he might bring to the table that we don't already have locally. Steve may be a good tuner (I don't know, and you can't trust hype on the internet) but he is relatively new and cannot possibly have a fraction of the experience of Rob or Ralph individually, let alone combined. I think a lot of people believe the grass is always greener elsewhere and forget what is right in front of them. And, what happens when you need a re-tune for a change in setup or the inevitable annual change between summer and winter gas? Does Steve come back or do you then take it to someone else with perhaps a different tuning philosophy (requiring a complete re-tune)?
