my t2 was broken into in the u district

my car was broken into on 1- 23- 06 or so while it was parked at a service station over night. it was at the 76 gas station in the university district on 51st and 25th, just north of U village.
i found a mazda key that was similar to my door key but it was twisted because it wasn't an exact fit. the key was left on the ground by the drivers door.

who ever did this, i believe owns an rx7 because when he or she stole my eclipse deck they popped up the the shifter bezel and removed the radio surround. only an rx7 owner would do this(or a good thief who does a clean job ). my experience with theft restoration is that there is usually a lot of broken radio trim left behind.

it gets better i had my turbo timer stolen a few qts of 2 cycle oil, an amp, my spare s4 turbo
a brand new bosch alternator
and to take the cake a crank angle sensor

i just thought i would post to let you guys know and to see if anyone knows anythig

Hey, at least they didn't take the car...

BTW, nothing pisses me off more than to think that some rat was pilfering through my stuff... My old N/A was broken into several years ago and it wasn't necessarily the fact that they got away with nearly a thousand dollars worth of stereo equipment, it was more the fact that some dick-less nobody had been sitting in my car.

How's the stage IV mang? Wanna go dyno it next weekend with me?

between me and my friend we have 2 mx-6s (89,90) a rx7 (88) and a 626 (88). i can open any of these cars doors with any of the keys to them. the keys won't work in other cars trunks/ignitions, but definitely the doors. just something to be aware of. maybe worn out lock? who the **** steals a CAS?

this is why i only have 2 4X9's and 2 tweeters, and a discontinued deck. for a small car, 4X9's work just fine. when i listen to rap, it can hit the lows and still shake my seats, and its perfect for just about anthing else.

Yeah, parking anywhere in the U is always a bad idea. Always worried my car will get jacked around there =/

I live in the heart of the beast and leave my doors unlocked every night because the drivers side door lock doesn't work and i'm too lazy to go through the passenger side. nobody's ever broken into my car, but then again i wouldn't know if they did because i have nothing of value in the car but a shitty cd deck and cds.

heh, my 1990 Honda Accord (daily driver) got its 8 year old tape deck stolen this morning, from the U-District as well. It surprised me that people are still after 8 year old tape decks

Laters,
Edgardo

I feel your pain!!

I had my 86 stolen in Phoenix and to add insult to injury, the car was found, stripped, the impound yard couldn't even tell me if the motor was still in it because they took the door handles off. The Arizona Dept of Licensing fined me $50 for abandoning the car! I had no where to store a shell of a car with 188,000 miles on it and had reported it stolen. I guess I was supposed to give the title to the impound yard but no one ever mentioned this.

After being carless for 2 1/2 years I bought an 87 last summer. I went through several stereos before settling on an Eclipse (I wanted a stereo without a removable face plate, they are hard to find) my car was broken into the night before Labor Day. I woke up to a broken driver's door window, my subwoofer & amp gone, they were trying to pry my stereo out, they took my center console, why I have no clue, there was nothing in it AND they took my Metallica Blue Flame cd case. The cost of having the window replaced on a holiday was exhorbitant and I had to wait until Tues. I now have an alarm and I found the excuse I needed to buy a bigger amp and subwoofers. But still that feeling of being violated is one of the worst.

I'm sorry your car was broken into, it really sucks when something you have worked hard for is taken away by someone with no work ethics!

Skqqter/Tammy
