Last Autox of the year- a$$load of pics!

Porsche club's PIR event on Sunday was the last even of the year, that I'm aware of. As usual, the retarted fast yellow 914 took top time by a long shot.
Some guy was kind enough to take over 800 pics that day.
But this is rx7club, so heres all the RX7 pics I pulled out of a massive photoshoot.
yah its mostly me- i guess the guy liked my car. or maybe cuz it spent half the event sideways lol.
Jared (jkstill) and Mike (P71) are on pages 4&5, Adam (agfmoto) co-drove my car.

The first run group was running under cloud cover and about 50f ambient.

Needless to say I took out a wall of cones on my first run - tires just didn't get warm enough for any kind of grip.

The much warmer track and sunshine that blessed the second run group was good for a couple of seconds anyway.

I've run the same setup and tires in much warmer weather, and had *much* more grip - pretty evident the first run group was rather handicapped.

Even so, I got the fastest NP (non Porsche) time and 5th overall, and Josh was the second in NP.

Felt good after all the work done on that car. (kudos to Adam Griffith for the vmount - this car just *never* gets hot)

Just wait till next year...

I think next year the Porsche guys are going to be scared...

Jared's car was on fire the last couple of events and nabbing FTD-NP even with the weather handicap shows just how fast it is. Josh's car improved by leaps and bounds to be able to nearly go blow-to-blow with Jared's. Adam is going to have a new engine and clutch for next season (RIGHT???) to race with us. And even dear ol Blinky the FB is finally getting a rebuilt suspension and some much needed power. Plus John will occasionally bring out his Mikuni'd FB and there's my new V8 FB to contend with.

Autocrossing next year is going to be FUN!
