Hasent the fd been the 'project car' for some time now? lol... either way its a nice car.
You guys make charge pipes? I need to get some charge pipes made up with maderal bends and beaded rims. I could do them myself, but if you guys have a good deal on the stuff why not.

Also is ralph still tuning 7's? I'd assume so... I might need to come down and tune a 13bt s5 block s4 rotors, 3m seals and some big street porting and big exhaust porting. Pushing a 1.0 a/r ex. .70 indu. turbo

Looking to make a few ponies out of it and want to run 20 psi with pump gas. Can ralph make it happen?

20PSI with pump gas? Unless you have magical 8:0:1 rotors or alcohol injection it aint happeneing.

There are guys in the single turbo section running around 20 on pump. they say they run race when they go over 22-23 psi. And the FD with 668hp is not the same car that they have had, its a different one.

Yep rotortuner is correct. I have seen over 20psi on pump. IMO that is nuts though and to a certain extent you are asking for it. I would just spend the extra few hundred and get water/meth injection. That is what I did.

Detonation is you enemy

Aggreed, it is kinda scarry at those levels. If you have a good fuel syste, ie 850's 2-4 1600's and a big pump, i dont see why you couldnt run 15-17 all day with now and then when you need to race someone, pump it up to 20. some of it depends on how eficient the turbo is at those levels, and air intake temps, plug selection too.

Also, how many of you have first hand knowledge of running 20psi and are efficient with tuning? Just digging on anyone, just a lot of regurgitated information gets tossed around here.

20 psi on pump can be done, I also never said I wasnt going to be using water injection :-p

SideWindeRx7, our 668hp 7 isn't the one we've had in magazine, shows, ect. It's one of our new shop cars. I'll post up a pic later today. Yes, we can make charge pipes. That's the thing we like doing If you need your 7 tuned, we're the people to go to. I've been tuning RX7's for over 7yrs with everything from PFC, and Haltec to Tec3. Give us a call sometime and we can talk about your setup and what I think we can do. 20psi on pump will be pushing it. We usually don't run pump gas on anything more than 15psi due to poor gas quality in Oregon. For the price of race gas vs. motors, it's just not worth risking.

We can now also make any exhaust system for any vehicle. We just got setup with suppliers to make custom titanium exhaust parts. Manifolds, downpipes, and catbacks, we can make it all

I can vouch for their fabrication ability. Ground Zero made us a custom turbo manifold for a customer's FD and it turned out beautiful...the welds, in particular, were very nicely done.

Thanks Blake. It was sort of a last minute thing but I did the best I could on that piece. i think it turned out pretty good myself You guys also did an awesome job on the Viper ring & pinion. I know it was very short notice but you guys pulled through and even worked late from what I hear. Tell Rob I said thanks, he's the man!!

One of our new project cars will be arriving here at the shop in a week or two. I know you guys probably hate this but it's a 3rd gen powered by a chevy small block. The motor is fully built from the ground up to handle 1500hp. To start with, we're going to be running twin T61 turbos that should make us 1000rwhp. The fuel system will be probably one of the most unique on an RX7 with individual lines to each injector. And to back that 1000rwhp up, we're going 345 wide tires with a Racelogic traction control unit. This is one of those projects that will be never ending, though you should see it running before summer. Feel free to stop by and check it out
