Dog VS: 88 AE

I am unsure of the fate of the black lab that T-boned my son's (ns.jones86) 88 AE but this is the car. Notice how dogs dont scrape the paint off when they hit you. The picture doesn't show it but there is black hair stuck in the molding.

I guess my insurance is going up.

That sucks!!! You got the parts to fix it? There's a guy here that has a t2 body. I haven't seen it yet, but he may have what you need.

It's covered by insurance. It will be back struting down the road Monday. Since Im getting a new fender, and they have to colour match the paint, I'm getting the wheels repainted also........good excuse.

I imagine the dog would have to be going somewhere in the neighborhood of 50mph under his own power in order to do that kind of damage to a parked car. That would be: A. one fast-*** dog; B. one terminally stupid dog.

Wouldn't this be the fault of the dog's owner for not having him/her properly controlled (leash or other) and his running out in the street causing this? Just wondering why your insurance has to cover it.

Oh Man Don sorry to see your car messed up. Must be the month of fenders getting messed up. You would think it should be the owner of the dogs responsibility to fix it. Bummer.

I read the A. one fast-*** dog as fat-*** dog. So we had a obese terminally stupid dog... sounds like my rot. Doesn't know what her name is, all she answers to is FOOD names, she weighs so much the floor bounces when she walks.

Geese don, I am beginning to wonder if your children were born with rx7's issued to them, lol. That's pretty cool. Too bad about the dog issue, but looks like it will all be easily repairable, perhaps you can get a few bucks out of it while your at it for some upgrades.

So my son seems like a bright kid at times, he just graduated and is going to WSU next fall.

So he tells me people were with the dog, he stopped and talked to them and they were taking the dog to the vet. So I ask him if he got their name or address? Duh.......not, and if he would have I would have more options especially since it happend in town where dogs are not supposed to be running free.

Me personally, I would have called the cop's and had the dam mut arrested. So is that a collision or comprehensive? Probably collision because my deductable is higher for collision.

It's hard to say without more details about what happened. It would be collision if the car was being operated and you as the owner crashed into the dog.

It would be comprehensive if your car was just sitting there, and the dog just ran into the car.

Did you get any police reports?

Really the owners of the dog are to blame for and would be responsible for all damage, since it was there dog running around. Similiar thing if the dog would have bit someone, obviously. I would seriously look into that, and sue there *** for damages. Their lucky no one got hurt.

The dog didn't have any plates or a drivers license, mabey he was a illegal alien. I think he might have been with al-Qaida since it was a suicide attack.

weird side story:

I had the car towed to Sonshine collision repair, I've had a history with them over the past. I asked them to give me a quote for painting the wheels while they are at it. They get back to me a day later and tell me they can't do that because it's going to be too much trouble, and tell me its going to be $2500 to replace the front fender. I called another shop and they said they could do the wheels, no problem. So I had it towed to Mathew's and they are replacing the fender for $1000 less. Sonshine's service has sure changed since they moved to their fancy new shop. Im supposed to get the car back Monday.

What kind of wine would you serve with that. A nice full bodied red, or a mellow white?
