big bridge port vs mild race port
ok since im going to supercharge my 12a my qustion is what port to go with big bridge port or a mild race port. because my goal is to make 300hp to the rear wheels but i still want it as a possible daily driver
|
By "race port" you mean... what, exactly? Peripheral port?
For a supercharged engine, my opinion that you should stick with a streetport. What kind of blower are you going to use? |
drop the supercharger and go with a 13b Monster J port. Throw on a turbo if you are not satisfied with what that puts out... Thats my plan for a 350+ engine....
|
but..... if you want to still drive it on the street, go bridge port...
|
ok ya i think the bridge port would be good. i just did alil research
|
a camden 7"

I'd talk to Dan Atkins about it. But there's evidence that suggests that high-overlap ports with a supercharger don't do much if anything to add power. It seems like you're better off with a healthy streetport, increasing the boost and adding alcohol.
Good luck getting 300 WHP from a Camden 7". I'd love to see it done, don't get me wrong, but I'm skeptical. |
it all cool so am i thats why its a goal and im not im going get 300 if i do thoes things
|
noone has gotten over 220whp anywhere on these boards with any atkins charger.
|
ok well ill talk some big rotary guys and c wat the best thing to do is. thanks all ive learned more about porting

Fast Idle

When I did my 13b I went all the way, almost through the wall to the water, just short of being to long or wide and letting the seals fall in, bord the runners almost through the metal and matched ported to the manifold, And yes it does have a idle isue 2.5 to 3k so I didn't have to pick the Rs up when letting out the clutch just a little gas so it doesn't stall
