BDC tuning to Washington!!!

Do not flame this thread or post up a negative response.

I am creating this thread just to get a list of names of people that are ready for tuning.

Brian from BDC is available anytime for us to bring him up for a tuning session. Please post up your name and that’s it.

I do not know pricing yet. When I do I will post it up. I do not know location either.

Again I just want to know how many people are ready!

Thank you

BDC 05-04-09 12:49 AM

Anytime in the summer is fine.. if you guys need a couple of months to get stuff sorted then I don't mind waiting til June/July/August time. For those interested, shoot me an email with a couple of engine bay pics of your car along with some specs on modifications done on 'em. I'm a bit of a control freak and may have some suggestions on things to change.

As far as location Kevin was great in Puyallup at Jet City Performance for both of last year's Kan sessions. It seemed to work well. But of course there are other places you could rent out for the day

SAMIboarder 05-05-09 01:39 AM

name's Matt H., and I'm in.

quick_spoolin 05-05-09 02:15 AM

Of coarse Matt you are in!!! What I'm going to be doing is getting a list of about 5 people that are ready to be tuned and getting a deposit from each which will equal the plane ticket for Brian. The session will most likely be up here in Bellingham at Meridian Performance. I know those guys well and we can get a good deal on some dyno time for those who want either a street, dyno, or both tune.

We can do both but I definitely need street time. I don't have to have dyno time on a car unless the weather is poor or the car I'm working on is prohibitively powerful. For those that are on a budget and can't afford dyno time, I can do street stuff entirely.

When BDC did my car, we just street tuned it. I couldnt be happier with the results.

Upgrayedd 05-05-09 01:04 PM

I would recommend something a little more centrally located than Bellingham. It would be kind of you to at least split the difference for the guys down south. Maybe finding a place in Snohomish or N King County with a dyno would be better. Take advantage of being able to get more interest and people not having to drive 2 hrs plus to Bellingham depending on their location. Just my 2 cents

Well you also already had Kan dyno tune to work off of so you didn't really need dyno time with Brian. But I would say street tuning is the best way to gain driveability

FearNoPiston 05-05-09 01:33 PM

any idea on pricing?

as for as jet city I really didnt like that he wasnt able to log boost or a/f

BDC had to completely redo my entire map.... My map i had was not happy or set up correctly for the FC ignition. From what i remember BDC said it was set up like a FD, and last time i checked under the car cover my car is a FC..lol

I didn't use Steve's tune at all. I basically wiped out what he had and re-did everything as I normally do.

One particular setting was like that, yep.

and my 1/4 miles can attest to how good BDC did. that is on a small hybrid turbo, nothing super special, and tuning.

Upgrayedd 05-05-09 04:28 PM

My apologies, Rob & Brian... I was wrong.

Chance: I believe the wideband was malfunctioning that day, because the first session he used it as a backup to Steve's. ANd I recall them having problems with it and I'm pretty sure it was at your session. But yeah no boost reading there. I just don't see there being enough interested parties to drive to Bellingham which is why I suggested a more central location.

karl0003 05-05-09 07:18 PM

depending on price and if my car is up and running i should be in on this

parid 05-05-09 09:22 PM

I'm still looking for a tuner, I might be interested depending on the price and ability of the tuner.

Red_Rabbit86 05-05-09 10:07 PM

now i dont mean to sound like an ass or anything but could somebody enlighten me on who this is???? i dont mean to sound condesending just trying to get info. and if your looking for a place how about everett/lynnwood, or maybe kent/auburn?

quick_spoolin 05-05-09 10:26 PM

The reason behind the Bellingham meet, Is because there is enough people up here to warrant him here. I am including you folks down south to have the opportunity to come up and get a tune. If there is enough support for a session further south feel free to contact Brian and arrange a session down there.

quick_spoolin 05-31-09 11:38 PM

So I let this thread go idle for you all to finish your projects. In the next two weeks I want a who will for sure get there car tuned and a deposit from them. So for everyone ready p/m me and we will start the ball rolling. Most people I talked to said they would be able to have there car done by June. Well June is here. So lets get Brian up here and get our cars tuned!!! Woot Woot!!!

hsitko 06-01-09 01:58 AM

As far as dyno's in the washington state area go, drift office pretty much has the nicest one. Plus Bob the owner is a pretty cool guy who i know and would probably be willing to work something out. That is just my two cents. I was entirely dissatisfied with my experience at jet city. I felt like the owner opperator didnt really know much of anything about his dyno. That and the fact that he didnt log anything with the the exception of a really crappy plotted power graph. That sucks. I went to drift office afterwords and dynoed there and got copies of my graphs e-mailed to me, printed and they logged hp, torque, af, and boost. Hmm... Yeah. You can make a decision.

Regardless of you peoples decision i am interested in bdc doing some works on my cars maps as i am not really super happy with the map i have on there right now. I would like to talk to him and see what he thinks.

BDC is a cool dude! He tuned my FC back in 04 or 05, made 417 RWHP @ 1bar of boost and the only reason why we stopped was because I had to drive 13hrs back home to Oregon from SanFran and the shop running the dyno was closing.

Brian, if I ever get another rotary, ill call you up bro!

quick_spoolin 06-01-09 06:02 AM

As far as dyno tuning It would be done up here in Bellingham at http://www.meridianperformance.com/Welcome.html

BC-FD3S 06-04-09 01:20 AM

If I can get my things in order over the next few weeks I will be in for sure.

Can someone PM me pricing structure?

Upgrayedd 06-04-09 02:34 PM

Send a pm to BDC. He will tell you everything you need to know.
