Anyone with a compression tester in Seattle?
Anyone have a compression tester in the Seattle area that could help me out? I'm in Everett specifically. I'd really appreciate if you could come up here + help me with my 91 NA. I think she's dead. I'll buy you good beer too :)

its pretty easy to do a poor man's compression test. Just pull a plug from the front rotor, pull the egi fuse, and then turn the key. All of the puff's should sound equal and pretty "sharp". THen, put that plug back in the front rotor and test the back rotor (if you blew a seal, its most likely this rotor that is hosed). If it sounds different than the front rotor or if you dont get equal sounding puffs its blown.

Yes, I'm well aware of that.
I want something more accurate than that + more accurate than the piston compression tester. |
