Welcome to the Product Review Section

I just would like to lay down a few ground rules for Product Reviews. This entire section of the RX7club is meant to answer questions about what products work and what ones do not.

1. As with everywhere else, flaming in any thread will result in a vacation. Constructive criticism in a review is appreciated and encouraged as it yields to a more informed community.

2. This section is primarily for reviews of products not offered by the forum vendors. For example, reviewing a pilot bearing puller that you found at Autozone is fine. In the case of a forum vendor's product, I will personally review such items with another member of the moderation staff. This will prevent bias based on misinformation.

3. Put some thought into how you write your review. State the pros and cons of the product in question, a well-rounded description and part number.

Use correct grammar, spelling and punctuation. Also, while the moderation staff recognizes that this is a global forum, the vast majority of threads are in English and comprehensible by the vast majority. Posts such as "ths buring plar is teh awsum n stuph" will result in either deletion of the post or humorous editing at the whim of the moderation staff. If you have doubts or questions about the content of your post, please PM me

4. Keep the review on subject, concise and to the point. This is not the place to post your memoirs on how many pilot bearings failed at Laguna Seca in 1997. It is also not the place to complain how a competing product costs too much and "someone should do something". OTOH, stating how a correct puller saved you from spending 3 hours under the car, grinding out said bearing in a very uncomfortable position because the puller worked properly, is part of a good review.

5. Use the following tags at the end of your review thread's title
WOOB: Works out of Box (needs no modifications)
WBNM: Works, but needs modified
WNII: Works, needs improved instructions
DNW: Does not work
Example: Harbor Freight Pilot Bearing Puller - WBNM
If in doubt about the proper tag, ask me. Also, in the case of a non-working product, bashing the vendor of said product will result in a ban from this section in accordance with the forum rules.

6. Should a product review need to be amended from non-working to any other status, PM me to edit your initial post and add the requested new information. This is to prevent new members from being misinformed by only reading the first post in a thread.

7. Making a thread to ask for a review will result in immediate deletion, period. If you want a product reviewed, that is what PMs are for.

This is not an all-encompassing set of rules to abide by, just a guideline to work from and will be added to as necessary for clarification.
