Won't start after coolant temp sensor fix
Hello RX7 gurus,
I have a '91 coupe, non-turbo that is giving me fits, just when I'm getting ready to sell it. I had it in for repair and my mechanic replaced the coolant temp sensor and the oxygen sensor (since that's what the engine codes indicated). But it's still showing the code for the coolant temp sensor, and now I can't get the thing to start in the cold weather. My mechanic felt out of his depth with the persistent "coolant temp sensor" code even after replacing that item. Any thoughts from you guys on how to get her running so that I can put her up for sale? Many thanks in advance. |
No Selling in this Section(chuckle!)..so you have to FIX IT!
Which sensor did he replace?.location? |
The mechanic says that he replaced the PCM-related sensor that is near the alternator, and that the other gauge-oriented sensor looked fine.
