That depends on what hp you are looking for. If you want around 350 hp at wheels a gt35 will do fine

misterstyx69 01-18-16 08:56 AM

Depends on how much poop you wanna clean up in the passenger seat!

I like the 62mm area for the compressor.

GT35R, EFR 8374, etc.

I think the EFR 8374 is by far the best all around turbo available for the rotary.

Im excited about my TS Borg Warner EFR 8374 going in...

Glease Man 02-10-16 01:07 PM

Agreed with the above, the 8374 is an amazingly well rounded turbo.

Im very interested in the upcoming results. It will be a big jump, I was making 398 wheel on a T3T4 apexi kit and very happy with it. That was 46LB/min I believe, the EFR is nearly double. Its all track use, so spool shouldn't be an issue.

The EFR 8374 will probably spool faster. they spool very quickly.

U won't be disappointed with a gt35r. Prob the most optimal size for and street rotary

patmac21 03-29-16 02:47 PM

i agree gt35r is great for a daily, street car use. It spools up quick, i get full boost at 4500.

It was 10 years ago :)

Exactly!

If you could get a turbo that gets full boost 1,000rpm sooner with better response and makes the same power, would you buy it?

Now you can.

Dude says GT35R is optimal size for street rotary.

Other dude agrees saying he gets full boost at 4,500rpm.

EFR 8374 makes same power as GT3582R (the big GT35R) but has better response and gets full boost at or before 3,500rpm (14psi to 30psi- whatever peak boost you want to run).

EFR turbos on piston engines= slight edge on next best turbo.

EFR on rotaries= a whole different league of performance.

People have been putting GT3576R and GT3582R on rotaries since they came out about 15 years ago and they have never matched the low end power people are getting out of the EFR 7670 and EFR 8374 immediately and on every single EFR set-up.
