What Does a turboed 13B Engine need to Run
 

I haven't been progressing with my build, because of so many unknowns. When a turboed 13B is mounted in an Fc what is needed done to make the car drive as intended ? Include, things that make the engine more reliable with effort to emphasis longevity. :icon_tdow:scratch:

Turbo'd fc or not needs the same as any engine, fuel spark air and compression, once you have all the parts bolted up to the engine, what else is there to wonder? Or is there more to this question that i'm missing?

start reading resources on turbocharging engines and turbo fuel/ignition tuning materials, unless you want to pay a professional to go over everything for you.

if you're expecting a real and full answer to your question in one place here, you won't find it because there have been complete books written about what you are asking.

... throw in a method of coordinating all of those things as well.

it's funny, there's years of info put onto this forum but people still want you to hold their hand.

i'm done doing that shit, so hopefully someone else will take weeks to months teaching you if you can't be bothered to read through the threads. you're not the first one to turbo an n/a, nor the first one to read and learn how to tune an engine.

Engine,intake manifolds, throttle body to intercooler, intercooler to turbo with an internal wastegate, turbo to turbo manifold, exhaust out. fuel rail primary and secondary, injectors, engine mounts, flywheel clutch transmission, battery, battery goes to spark plugs? i dont know ill research (sorry im trying) alternator, oil, coolant, radiator Im really just thinking out loud now. what else am i missing? water pump? I need to research all the loose ends im not realizing.

I have read the forum not the whole thing , and maybe not properly . I have read Rotary and turbo books in the last couple months, but im still learning. Its nice to ask questions and have a conversation it helps with my understanding. I have someone i plan to call tomorrow, and if they are available im sure they will help.

a good place to start is by asking induvidual questions. asking something broad and all encompassing isn't usually going to get you much help.

as Lyger said, you need to ask more specific questions. do you actually have the car and engine?

yes,I do have the car and engine. Everything functioned on the car before I took the engine out, with help of my friends. I had the engine rebuilt. I should ask more specific questions. I have learned a lot more since I have had the engine rebuilt. I believe I know how the air flows through the engine. I just have a bunch of wires in the engine bay. My main concern is installing something with new gaskets and having to take a step backwards. I have taken many steps backwards, but am trying to take some steps forward.

Get used to it, these cars are always 1 step forward 10 steps back :lol:

building a car for the first time is always a learning experience, you will make lots of mistakes. if you didn't then you should buy a lottery ticket and split the winnings with me.
