Twin (dual) oil coolers

Hi, I just installed the dual oil cooler on my FD. Thanks to the threads on the forum. Everything went smoothly and actually found a couple of short cuts. First did not have to remove the drivers side oil cooler and secondly did not have to remove the hard pipe from the oil filter to the front cooler. Just had to release the wire spring clip between the short hose from the drivers side and the OC. The snaking of the hard lines to the passenger's side did require draining the rad, AST, IC, and losing the fans, as per the threads. Installing the passengers side OC did require removing the turn /parking lite and the head lite (black) shroud. Again, thanks for the threads.

Where did you buy the 2nd oil cooler from and about how long did it take you to install it?

Thinking about doing this myself....

I have a dual FC oil cooler setup ran in parallel. It works wonderfully. Easy junkyard pick up too.

I piked up a R1 dual set on the forum. Only needed to use the plumbing from the of the engine to the passengers side and the hose from the left cooler to the right side. One of the oil coolers that I bought had a slight dent in one corner, so it is sitting her looking for a new home.Good luck. Bob

yup definitely some helpful threads on here, especially since I am needing to replace the dual oil cooler lines on mine since they're leaking, plan on upgrading to steel braided with -an fittings
