turbo vs N/A
 

hey guys I am considering getting a new 7, had to sell old one due to unexpected circumstances. Im on the fence about turbo or another N/A was just wondering what the general opinion was on this subject. my old one was N/A with no real engine modification done. I know I want to get an fc also so if turbo is better what are some things I should look out for before I pull the trigger?

If you are a student or otherwise short on money then the NA is better because it has a lower selling price, less expensive maintenance, better gas mileage, and sometimes the insurance is less expensive. The turbo car is better if performance is the main consideration (assuming that the racing class allows turbo engines and sunroofs). I like them both.

If you buy a Turbo car then most likely you can expect MORE unexpected circumstances.
Cars don't care about how much you make or what your situation is.They will just Kick your ass out of the blue!
Now I know why those Baggy pants are in style...(temporarily hold the money for parts..lol!)

If your looking for a reliable daily, get a n/a. If your looking for a fun car, get a turbo.

ive had a turbo and buddies who have had turbo cars but never a rotary turbo that's the only reason i ask and i have a good daily driver i want a fun car i can build and play with i am a student but i do work a good bit as well thanks for the advice if you could give anymore input it would be much appreciated guy.

If you have a daily I'd go turbo. I guess depends a lot on what you want to do with it as well but I would say turbo, it has a lot more Mods easily accessible, and easier to make power.

The biggest problem is there's not a lot of turbo models I see around in Kansas. I don't see any at all on Craigslist right now.

They don't make pants big enough to hold the money that I want to spend on car parts. :(

I have fun autocrossing, and I do not have fun when my car breaks down, therefore I actually have a little more fun with NA RX-7s. A daily driver does not require any additional power or modifications to drive from point a to point b.

that is true i would like to make more money but my job i have now pays pretty good. i would not be looking to just tear in to it the second i got it and i understand the point you are making i just was curious on what everyone thought.

as for what i want out of it if i went turbo i would want to just drive for a while stock until im out of school which is one year then start to build up to right around 300 to 350 hp nothing to crazy
