Turbo 2 Sorting out some problems..Help!
Hi everyone I'm Kris.
I just bought my first FC. It has an apexi safc and a turbo timer a greddy boost controller and an hks intake with an apexi exhaust. The car is sound (as in compression and all) i have a little prior knowledge of rotaries but not everything. I am having trouble getting power to the fuel pump when the key is on nothing and when you crank the car it goes to 5v. Any help is appreciated. |
The fuel pump is not supposed to get power by simply turning the key to on. If you jumper the fuel pump check connector on the passenter strut tower and turn the key on, the pump should run.
You may also need to do a fuel pump rewire. Basically you run a dedicated power wire and relay to the pump. As a general note, checking voltages during cranking isn't very accurate because the starter uses up a lot of the electrical current available. Try to do checks with the key in the 'on' position. I appreciate the information but I have power to the fuse panel. And I am going to do a rewire I just dont know where to get the power source from on the car I am going to search it before I get flamed.

Got it running now smoking real bad when I rev it to like 3k it doesn't smoke until it gets into boost then it smokes like nobody's business. Need help I hope it's not the oil seals but its been sitting up in storage for four years
