TPS on 12A
 

Hey guys, simple question: what does the TPS do on a stock 12A nikki?

And yes, the Nikki carb does have a TPS. I’m thinking it controls the emissions system but not very confident about that.

Emissions system. Tells the "ECU" when to pump air into the exhaust manifold, exhaust ports, vent, cut ignition, etc.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but does the TPS on an automatic 12a rx7 have any part in the transmission kickdown functionality?
