Hey everyone,

I just got these housings on ebay and am wondering if they are usable, they look pretty beat up and the exhaust port is massive.

How deep are the scratches above the exhaust port? Looks like marks where the carbide bit used to port the exhaust port has skipped and scratched the surface. if you do reuse these make sure ur running street port on the irons, factory ports may not allow the engine to run well as the overlap timings will be screwed.

I'd use them but not for a nice new build or for power gains but just to have a working engine. Don't think the seals will last long on that surface, can see score marks on them. But without feeling them it's hard to see from just pics, get a dti gauge and measure the surface. All tolerances are in the FSM if within great, if not then it's a risk.

That exhaust port looks way too wide. The upper edge is not beveled. That's why the seals broke.
