Thermo Reactor Smoking??

Hey Guys! So today I got into my school's parking lot and when I shut off the car, smoke was billowing from the engine compartment. My friends and I popped the hood and the main source of the smoke was coming from the heater tube that connects to the air filter and the thermo reactor. Any suggestions on what this might be?? By the way, there was a distinct smell of coolant.

Well, start by checking for coolant leaks. :) The water pump housing and thermostat neck is above that area.

So I checked those out and we replaced the gasket for the water housing. We thought we found a small leak at the lower radiator hose but it turned out that there was no issue there. The steam still continues to come out of the thermal reactor

a pressure tester will find an external leak pretty quick..
