Testing Window Functionality

The windows in the FC I recently picked up do not work. I've considered swapping manual windows into the car, but I would like to know if simply replacing the window switches would make them work. The switches are completely destroyed, so there is no point in trying to solder them back.

I would like to know if there is some way to test the motor by bridging two pins on the harness or connecting two wires. Has anyone else tried something like this, or must I cough up the cash and buy new switches?

Also, if neither the motor nor switch works, about how much am I looking at to get them working again?

There are two wires leading to the motor. When you supply voltage to one wire and a ground to the other it will cause the window to go down. Switch the voltage and ground and the window goes up. If you apply the voltage and ground to the two wires when the window is up and it doesn't go down just switch the voltage and ground wire and it will go down if the motor is working properly.

Thanks! That's exactly what I wanted to hear. I'll give it a try in the morning.
