temperature gauge don't work
Temperature gauge don't work where should I start I did not really find anything useful with the form search.

Check the temperature sender on rear iron, and check the plugs on the back of the instrument cluster.

well Ive had the gauge cluster apart many times and again about 2 hours ago. i have continuity all the way to the gauge plug connector from the gauge. Its only 3 plugs so i know there all connected. Time to search under the hood for the temperature probe any idea where its at?
|
its right underneath the oil filter next to the oil pressure sender its got one wire to it. make shure it connected. mine wasnt and i had to make shure it was on nice and tight(the wire) and it started working just minutes ago.
|
I know this is the oil pressure because I unplugged it and the oil pressure gauge stopped working.
http://img51.imageshack.us/img51/9274/oilp.png I think this is the temperature probe but im not sure? http://img94.imageshack.us/img94/6378/tempaf.png well if that is the temp probe the wire is connected and the plug has continuity on that end also. so what should i replace gauge or temp probe? |
no that doesnt look like it at all. its to the left of the sender tucked nicely next to the block. it will have a bullet type connector on it. its is mere inches away from sender.
|
o yeah the first one is your sender

well i decided to take the gauge face off and see if i could move the needle with my finger and turns out it was on too tight and would not turn i wonder how long its been like that, well thanks for the help guys but i still need to get my power steering installed but that's on another thread id appreciate any help i could get with that also i just need a wiring diagram.
thanks again |
