symptooms of a bad ignition coil??

hey guys i have a 83 fb. i just did a ignition tune up , new plugs, wires, distributer cap and button. i took my plugs out to clean them yesterday cause i put on the new cap wich they were only a week old but when i put them back in my car makes a sputtering noise when i hit the gas. if i slowly hit the gas its fine. what could it be? ignition coil? any advice would help. im doing a compression test today. but i doubt there bad seal cause it starts fine. and drives. oh! and i was messing with the mixture screws on my 48ida webber. but iv mest with that thing for months on end and its never done that.

To check the coil you can just swap them.

This sounds more like a carb issue. Maybe the accelerator pump.
