Supercharger in Mazda?

So am I able to put an electric supercharger in my 2nd gen mazda rx7 non turbo this supercharger adds more power and performence it even throws in what they say is a 5psi boost but i'm not sure what that will do. xD

Anyways I have a performance chip in my car already it works great and makes it run alot smoother!~

i'm putting in a nice Coolair intake so I can get that good coolair and some extra horsepower after awhile I'm going to change my Exaust but future threads.

If it's the same as this I wouldn't waste your time or money

No. Almost all of the so-called electric superchargers on the market are nothing more than bilge blowers, cage fans, fancy PC cooling fans, and other forms of bullshit. They will offer no performance gains, and indeed, in most cases decrease performance as they are a restriction on the intake.

You mean one of those eBay "chips" that are nothing more than a resistor, or even nothing in that little box? Remove it, it's doing nothing. If removal actually does make the car run less smooth, it means your IAT sensor is bad, so replace that sensor but keep the "chip" off.

OK. Just make sure to read up on how to set up a proper cold air intake, because if you just put a cone filter on the stock intake, you're going to loose power. Note that your car comes from the factory with a stock cold air intake anyway.

ok thank you I was abit curious at this cheap supercharger thing I did some research after I posted this thread of course cause i'm skeptical as always when it comes to putting things into my car.

but yes your right they are but a cheap trinkit from like a rc plain and what not but yeah I know how to put coolair intakes for my buddies and from when I use to run a Honda Squad :D

what interested you in getting a supercharger over a turbo?

nothing really. I just wanted more performance but I can't find any good 5psi turbos for my rx7. Once summer time comes around I can start working on it again and get things swapped out to improve my handling and other things.

you should learn a bit more about turbos . a 5 psi turbo all you need is a small turbo . with a 5 psi wastegate spring and thats it . well you also

need some sort of way to add more fuel . weather its engine management or a reflashed ECU
