Stock Steering Wheel Spacer

So I searched the forum for threads on this, lots of people recommending aftermarket wheels or a spacer for the OEM wheel. Only one thread came up and the question was never answered

I have a Nardi wheel, does someone make a spacer for it? or am I going airbag-less?

guess i should mention 93 FD touring.

I've never seen a spacer made for the Stock wheel.
If you have a airbagged stock wheel then you may be VERY Limited as to what you can find, maybe even out of luck.
That is why guys delete the airbag function and go to a wheel they can just slap on a hub and call it a day.

figured that, has anyone ever attempted to extend the wheel? other than a spacer and extending wires im curious as to why it hasnt been done. I currently own a MS3 and there is an aftermarket wheel that is considerably smaller and maintains OEM airbags and such. Didnt see any MS3 steering wheel conversions here though

The problem is the back center of the steering wheel is used to cancel the signals and also the center is splined to go onto the stock steering shaft.
You have to match all those criteria on another wheel to get everything to work properly and most importantly make sure that the Air bag actually is not compromised when installing.

If you can't fit in the car properly( I believe you mentioned the wheel hitting yor knees??) and are thinking about the steering wheel, why not think about the SEAT too.
You can put a lower positioned seat in,or a stationary yet "suited to your position" seat.
