starts, backfires the no idle

I have searched, and if I have found a couple threads with a similar issue but no success. So I have a 89 vert na that just put t2 drivetrain in.

The problem is it starts backfires then dies but I am able to keep it running if I feather the throttle. It started after I put the t2 Trans in.
I also used a s6 flywheel in the swap (I don't suspect this to be the problem due to equal rotor weights).the car wasn't run for about a month while I was swapping out Trans.

I checked compression, after doing this I forgot a plug wire off so flooded the engine let it sit then tried later this was the longest it ran (for about 10 secs).
So 3 questions
1. Is Thier any grounds or connections that would effect this since the car was originally a automatic?
2. Would having the car sit for 1 month gel the gas in the injectors enough to possibly cause this?
3. Would the fuel pump just short out or would it be just pump less.

If you have better suggestion please add to this and sorry if I forgot something very important please point it out, just please realize I am a noon to the forum for posting all my problems I have solved from the search box.

Well figured it out went over every hose top to bottom. Found that when I was wiggling the engine and trans around. The first hose coming off the intake tube popped off this solved idle then it just occasionally backfired on start up but I realized dirty ground wire on the Trans.
