"can I put a stock turbo and manifold from a turbo2 on there."

If you literally mean can you bolt the stock TII turbo and manifold to your existing engine and expect it to run, the answer is no.

This has been beaten to death over the last several decades, so every option has been explored. A few years ago when the cars were cheaper, literally you would be advised to sell the car and buy a TII. Hands down the most cost effective, and did not involve bastardizing the car six ways to Sunday. Now, you might have to settle for an engine swap/retrofit, but just know it is not cheap or "easy". There are many threads and sites detailing what needs to be done in full.

Again, there are various degrees of how much you are willing to butcher the car or how many shortcuts you want to take to save money. So inherently when someone chimes in with advice otherwise, keep that in mind :)

so either buy a TII or swap for a TII engine is what you’re suggesting?
