Standard management (ecu) without OMP

Hi guys.. new to the site and also fairly new to the rx7..
I have a close to stock fd3s and having trouble with the OMP.

I want to find out if it possible to not use the OMP on factory ecu. I saw somewhere someone said that its not possible, but want to find out if it won't work if I blank off where the omp usually sits, but still have the omp(a working one) connected to the ecu so it doesn't go into limp mode. By that I mean securing the omp elsewhere in the engine bay while its connected so that the ecu still think it works, but then blank off the oil injectors and run premix.. any help would be appreciated. In South Africa we don't have chips/tuners for factory ecu's and I don't want to change to aftermarket management simply to bypass the OMP.

Thanks in advance.

What problem are you having with the OMP?
The short answer is no, you need a properly functioning OMP to avoid Limp Mode on the stock ECU. If any one of 3 possible CEL codes are generated you’ll be in limp. If you have a properly working OMP with no codes, then there is no reason I can conceive not to leave it hooked up. And if it’s already generating a CEL, removing it from the engine in lieu of a block-off plate but leaving it electrically connected while on the stock ecu won’t get you out of limp mode...even if premixing.
