As a general rule of thumb, Rtek is fine for a mild build and if you're tuning yourself. Almost no profession tuner is going to touch it, it's a pain in the ass to work with, is outdated, and the tuneability/functionality is limited. If stage 3 means a fairly extensive build and Rtek is all you can afford, chances are you wont even complete the build on such a budget. Hope that helps. Also checkout the subforums for each ECU to learn a little more about each. |

Define "stage 3", as depending on the company, platform, and what the weather is like that day, "stages" can vary considerably.

Plenty of people have hit that goal with Rtek, myself included. It's a fine stepping stone for something in that power range, but was very happy the day I got rid of it. Have never looked back.

...my idea of stage 3 is achieving around 280-300hp. U think it possible with a to4b and some large injectors

At that power level, a hybrid stock turbo would do the job and bolt right on.
