Shifting Question

2 Attachment(s)
Okay, bought a car that has been sitting since '85. The previous owner did a conversion that completely removed the shifter. (Have not actually gone through the steps to see if it runs, but did test all electrical.) Trying to figure out if the build is incomplete, or if the shifter is the button above the foot rest. Totally new to this, and learning as I go. I can add, the battery is relocated behind the driver seat and the motor was built by Rotary Engineering, so who knows what all is going on with this ride, which is why I had to have it. If anyone has seen this set-up and can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.

what in the actual f***?

your guess is as good as ours, your gonna have to get underneath it and see how its all set up, hell, your gonna have to see if it even HAS a transmission

Maybe it's like a transmatic, where the control by your foot only gears up, and the gear down function is automatic?

Hell if I know, I've never seen anything like that before. And I also can't think of any reason someone would want to eliminate the shifter, manual or auto.

Any developments?

Curious to see exactly what they did with the shifter.

We did find it. They converted it into an electric shifter that is on one of the unmarked switches. Still working on getting it ready to hit the road, but it did start once we switched the battery, just trying to clean up everything now. (Change fluids, etc.)
