S5 vlsd question

Hey guys just recently picked up an s5 turbo for this upcoming drift season after deciding to change chassis. For whatever reason as we know mazda decided to change to a vlsd in the s5. After doing research about my diff options I have realized theres a limited amount of info about the s5 models. I clearly need a better locking diff as mine is getting worn however I cant afford a proper 2 way at the moment. From what i understand I cant swap an NA welded in due to the stubs being differnt lengths in s5 turbos?

My question is what are my options diff wise? Can i weld the vlsd (i have searched this never got a solid answer)? Can I swap internals with a different diff?

Car is a 91 s5 turbo basically stock, coilovers, exhaust, misc crap.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. I realize this should be posted in drifting but it wont let me.

Going to a S4 Tii diff is t he best bet, this will require the diff and the stuf shafts, or just grabbing the whole assembly. You can get new clutches from mazdatrix if you want to freshen it up.

Where are you going to be sliding it at? We have a drift day at Piedmont Drift Jan 31. Piedmont Dragway, Holts Store Rd. Julian NC(just outside Greensboro). Assuming this isnt Michael, in which case you know about it.
