S5 Turn Signals

Now, I dunno if I'm missing something big here, but I'm trying to change the turn signal bulbs on my FC, and I can not for the life of me, figure out how to get the old bulbs out. Is it one solid unit? Is my bulb just that rusted in? I didn't find any threads on it, and google is giving me nothing.

Which turn signal?

I'm guessing the front ones. I remember having to sort of pry from the screw hole to remove the lens. It was stuck on from years of not being removed.

The right side front.

The lens was easy to get off. The crash kinda made that so. It's the bulb itself I can't do a damn thing with. It's stuck in it as if it were a single unit, and I don't wanna push or twist it too hard and break it.

It's a push in and turn I believe. It should not be too hard. If it's a lot of resistance then there's something wrong.

I'll go out and give it another try then. Here's hoping it won't break on me.

So, after going out and easily replacing the left side, I tried the right side again, and it just would NOT budge. I think I'm going to have to chalk this one up to being too rusted to come out, in which case it looks like I'm ordering a new housing sooner rather than later.

I wonder how bad the wiring is corroded too. If there was a lot of moisture I could see it happening. I had a customers VW they are notorious for leaking into the foot well and I had to strip back and replace a good amount of wire from the CCM, probably about 4-5 feet for 10+ wires.

Funny how corrosion travels up the wires.
