S5 TII (6port->TII) problems

I have a ´89 TII (only one in Estonia) and i got it with blown engine ( turbo and other stuff was good)
I also have a ´87 NA (only 2 in Estonia) that had a 1600km driven brand new engine.

So i took my S4 NA engine and put all S5 TII goodies on it (ecu, turbo etc from TII but irons from S4 NA engine). I havent driven it yet but it started first time and engine sounded good. So now i have some questions for you since in Estonia nobody knows anything about rotary engines. Even the dealer doesnt know anything.

Questions:
1) I put in coolant and it has no air in it at all and the coolant level is ok. After about 15seconds the buzzer goes on. I checked that the coolant level sensor is ok and also the wire coming from it is ok. I grounded the wire to check and it didnt stop the buzzer. What should i try next?

2) Since i have a high compression engine with turbo then what AFR-s should i tune it to? And how far from turbo should i put the WB sensor? I will be making a 3" exhaust for the car.

3) The NA block didnt have a knock sensor on it and it doesnt have a hole for it. Whats the best solution to connect the knock sensor?

4) How do i set timing on this engine? (i have a haynes manual but it doesnt say anything about it)

5) How much boost is safe with S5 TII original turbo, intercooler and ecu on S4 NA engine?

Hope you can give me some ideas.
Thank you in advance.

I will be making a 3" exhaust for the car.1-2 foot from the turbo, the afr should be the same as a normal turbo, but the timing should be much less then a low compression

3) the na block didnt have a knock sensor on it and it doesnt have a hole for it. Whats the best solution to connect the knock sensor?i thought that the s4 s5 na rotor housings has a knock sensor spot, if not there is a space in the center iron for one, search for aftermarket knock systems w/timing retart

4) how do i set timing on this engine? (i have a haynes manual but it doesnt say anything about it)if you are running a turbo with a na computer stop right now, start reading some more posts, if not then you should be able to find a thread on it by using the search

5) how much boost is safe with s5 tii original turbo, intercooler and ecu on s4 na engine?7-8 max

i already did that and both the sensor and the wire is OK

2)1-2 foot from the turbo, the afr should be the same as a normal turbo, but the timing should be much less then a low compression
how much less timing? and what AFR is ok under boost?

4)if you are running a turbo with a na computer stop right now, start reading some more posts, if not then you should be able to find a thread on it by using the search
No, I´m running TII ecu

I just want to make sure of everything before i start to drive this car. I have lots of experiences with mazda piston engines but bit scared of rotaries because we dont have any parts available for them here in this dump.

Generally, aiming for around 11.5 AFR under boost is ideal. Of course, you will need something to adjust the fuel to do anything about it. As mentioned, the timing maps are for a 9.0:1 engine, but you now have 9.4:1 CR, so keep the boost low. Exactly how much timing to pull to compensate is hard to say, but you will need a standalone do do this the right way. You can rotate the CAS, but then you're just guessing, and it will retard timing ALL the time.

As for your buzzer, have you checked the oil level sender on the oil pan? It also uses the same warning buzzer as the coolant level sender. Trace wiring back and look for damage, as well.

Ok i will retard timing by ~3degrees to be safe.

About the buzzer it goes off with the radiator icon on the centre console. So i do think the problem is somewhere there. Is it possible that the speedo block is not working. Can i try S4 na on the S5 TII wireing? Is the speedo wireing the same?

Now the buzzer and radiator icon comes on about 1/2 time when i start the car. If it doesnt start buzzing then even if i drive it it wont come on until the next time i start the car. Only thing that has changed is weather outside. Its raining almost every day now. Could there be a cold solder joint in the speedoblock?
Can you tell me where are all the grounding points for engine? Maybe thats the problem?

Im soon gonna take the engine out and drill and thread centre block for original knock sensor.

Iv driven the car couple of times. No detonation with original timing and 98octane (originally 95octane). AFR under stock max boost ~11.4-11.6

Well the car ran great last season and feels faster than a 88 S4 TII that my friend owns. RX7 is gaining popularity in Estonia now since i did this swap and i actually sold my red TII for now and will be building my blue S4 as soon as i get some time for it.

For all S4na owners id really recommend doing the turbo swap on S4 engine with S5 parts.

Will now be doing a MS2v3 swap on my friends S4 and i have some questions.
1) I cant find ECU pinout diagram for S4TII (i want to use original harness without modifying or cutting into it.
2) Is the original harness screening for CAS usable with MS2v3 or should i use professional microfone cable for better signal from CAS?

Best wishes
