S5 in S4 Standalone

So I've been extensively researching S5 TII swaps to an NA S4 and have gotten pretty good information about the topic but there has never been standalone's brought up? At least, if it was they say that "You can do what you want with it"? Is it that literal? You don't have to deal with front covers, OMP/MOP, emission deletes and all that jazz? You literally just bolt it on, match whichever harness you're using to the corresponding model of the standalone and that's it?

I feel like more research should be done on your part. You aren't really asking a real question. That whole paragraph is like word salad.

Can you rephrase your question? It's difficult to answer if the question is not clearly stated.

Sorry I was all over the place, basically If you have a standalone ECU, is there any need to splice S4/S5 harness if you're putting an s5 into an s4?

I hate to be that guy, and I know what all gotta start somewhere but this question is also a question that is ... lacking effort. If you did any amount of research you would know that this question is hard to answer when you haven't even mentioned one product or system that you would like to use. What car do you have? What are your goals?

Sorry, and thanks for the input about posting. Currently I have a 1986 completely base S4 RX7 and I'm reading upon the subject of swapping an S5 TII into an S4 only due to the fact that sourcing an S4 TII is a little hard. I have read that using a standalone will make things less complicated during the swap wiring wise(?) and I was looking into the PowerFC as an AEM.
Currently my goal is to simply find the solution that has me not mess with the wiring too much.
