s4 n/a 13b idle problems

whats good folks my name's jet. well i own a 86 rx7 13b n/a. no mods it's all stock. the only thing i've pretty much done to it is just emission removal. i removed the air pump, my vaccum nest, my BAC, my thermal wax. pretty much every thing. i did some research at rotaryressurection.com, and pretty much followed the guidlines to the best of my knowledge. honestly this is my first rotary. and im trying to learn as much as i can.

Now to the issues, when i start my car, and get it to operating temps. i dont kno if i should set my idle speed to the factory 750-775 rpm's, or since i've removed the BAC set it to 1100-1200 rpm's before i start to tune the motor. the car is also having problems with the idle. its seems to fluctuate up and down everytime i hit the trottle. what im saying is, i will have the idle set at 750 or so and it will stay. then when i hit the trottle it rev's then drop to 1500 rpms and stay, ill hit the trottle again then it might drop to about 400-500 rpms the shut off. i dont kno what my issue could b. the screw on top of the trottle body i have no clue what it is used for. some people say its a idle screw but it doesnt seem to do shit for my car. plz help im lost

The BAC is not an emission item as it is used to control the idle from dropping below 750 rpm when the engine encounters load. Removing the thermowax will also cause some idle problems when the engine is in the process of warming up. Setting the idle around 1200 rpm or so will advance the timing which is not a good thing. You also need to check the TPS adjustment to see if it is 1 volt at the TPS Green/Red wire w/key to on, engine as warm as possible. So you should slap the BAC back on. And adjusting the Idle Adjust Screw, which you mentioned, is done w/the Initial Set Coupler jumpered (located near the leading coil, color is Green and has two wires total. The BAC needs to be installed for the jumper to have any affect when the screw is to be adjusted.

Ok I have my old throttle body and upper intake. I read some shit bout it and thought I would give it a shot. I guess I'll jus slap that other intake and throttle body back on. Thanxs tho bruh!
