Rx7 idle problem coming to a stop/shift knob ^.^

Hey I got a 1988 Rx7 vert and it seems to idle fine on cold start, does the normal 3k, to 1.5k process. When its warmed up it seems to die when coming to a stop in neutral unless I down shift and slightly keep my foot on the gas.https://www.rx7club.com/images/icons/icon9.gif Also when warmed up, with AC on it will drop my idle down and eventually will stall out without any bogging. Think it could be something with the ecu?

also what size are fc's shift knob thread pattern? and are any of these compatible 8x1.25, 10x1.25 and 12x1.25mm?

Check your BAC valve. Make sure it is actually installed, plugged in, and working.

Dude AaronCake thanks so much for that I checked the bac valve and realized it was dirty and needed cleaning/replacing so I did it and did the job! My car no longer dies with AC on and as for rolling in neutral it still has that problem where it will die =(

It could be the idle is set too low as it should be close to 800 rpm. And if the voltage output of the alternator falls too low, such as might happen when the brakes are applied, it could kill the engine. And does the car die out at a stop regardless of whether the engine is cold or warm or just cold?

hmm yeah my idle is a little bit too low as in it goes to 3000 rpm/1500/ than to like 650 maybe so you think I should adjust my TPS a little bit? and it only happens whens the car is warmed up. When its cold it runs nicely

Definitely make sure the TPS adjustment is correct. If the idle is still low and it is NOT due to vacuum leaks or other issues (check to make sure), then follow the factory procedure to set the idle. Off hand you need to fully warm up the car, verify TPS settings, jump the initial set coupler, turn off all electrical loads, and then adjust the idle screw.
