RX7 FD 13B hesitation/misfire on cold start
Hey guys, I recently changed my sparks plugs on my RX7 FD streetported 13b with a single turbo. The reason why changed my plugs was that my Innovate Wideband O2 gauge started to show my AFR as 7.4. After I changed my plugs, I had the same AFR readings so I recalibrated the O2 sensor and that fixed my AFR problem. However, ever since I fixed that problem, I have been having trouble starting my car. After it starts, my car would hesitate to rev past 4,000 rpms. If I press the gas a bit more, it would start popping and misfiring. I do not have a rough idle nor does my engine turn off randomly. If I leave the car idling for a little I can finally rev it to the redline with no problem. After that it is back to normal and the car runs strong as it is warmed up, but the issue comes back when I leave the engine cold. Any ideas what's wrong?

Btw the engine has about 40k on it with 3mm seals.

Converted to a single turbo with a Garrett T04S by BNR, PF Intercooler, Adaptronic ECU, Innovate O2 Wideband gauge, turbosmart e-Boost controller, streetported 13b with about 40k, Racing beat catback, and I can't remember the rest but this is most of them.

Theres a cat converter still installed because I'm in California.

Definitely clean the ISC but also check your mechanical throttle body settings also - especially the air bleed screw under the throttle body. Once the mechanical settings are in order, check the TPS voltage. Mechanical settings affect values of the TPS fyi.
I'm running open exhaust, no air pump but do have ISC and the idle warm up thing. |
Coolant enrichment sounds too rich.
