RX7 Build!

Hi all,

Starting my RX-7 build and need to replace wheels to get her rolling.

I've come across some Advans with the following specs, and I'm just a bit concerned about the fronts:

235/45r17 on 17x7 rim +35 offset
255/40r17 on 17x8 rim +35 offset

Sounds like they'd be great sizes, but just worried about fronts? Car is 100% stock (stock suspension included).

Thanks!

My apologies, forgot to say that its a 1986 Series 4 RX-7 :)

perfect fitment!

Ended up purchasing the wheels and the fitment is perfect!

Only problem I'm having is my front studs are too long. Might need to go open ended nuts or buy new studs (spacers arent an option, although they would solve the length problem it'd stick the wheels outside the guards).

1985 Rx7 Nikki Carb possible Replacements

Hello, I recently got a 1985 Mazda Rx7 GSL and it was running great (to my knowledge) which is nothing about Rotarys. The Carb is filling up and leaking fuel all over my garage floor so i had a mechanic look at it not knowing that parts were impossible to find. Wasted $168 there and $100 on the tow. They said my Floats are internally damaged. I asked about repair but they can't find parts nor can i anywhere online. I was wondering if anyone could throw in some input as to what i should do and or what replacement options i have for my Crapped out Nikki Carburetor. Thankyou

You mean these can't be found?

The best help I can give you is this link
Foxed.ca - Mazda RX-7 Manuals
to the Service manual, parts list and other valuable documents. They are priceless.

First, it wasn’t wasted. Your car’s off the street and you now know what’s wrong with.
Second, you bought a 35 year old sports car. If you're not a DIY’er, need the car for transportation and repair expenses are that painful then the purchase should of been something a little newer and mainstream...like a Camry or a bus-pass.
