How much do you all pay?

I am interested in getting one but i don't want to have to pay 700 a month!

I am with statefarm

I am 16 and have 1 ticket which was failure to yield that i got when i hit this old guy...

I live in Minnesota and the snow banks where like 6 feet high so i had to creep out of a parking lot to see around the snow bank and he hit me but he had the right a way so the cop said i hit him... lolol and i currently have a 3.9 gpa which takes off quite a bit.

Anyways how much would it be?

Can i switch to my own 2nd gen friendly company at age 16?

Or am i outa luck?

You will need to contact your insurance company to get an accurate quote. In general, the 2nd gen RX-7 coupe (regardless of turbo or non-turbo) usually has about the same insurance rate as any other car of the same vintage. The convertible usually costs more, as does the FD RX-7.

ur age isn't helping matters any. young inexperienced drivers pay out the a$$ for insurance and u can't go by what others r paying since they'll probably be older than u. rx7 is considered a sports car. like evil said, just call state farm and ask them. i'd guess u'll probably pay 300-400/mo. and that's with multi car discount if u have a 2nd car.

You're pretty much out of luck unless you go on your parents' insurance policy. Being a 16 year old male gives insurance companies the green light to price gouge you.

16 and you already have an at fault collision? I suspect your insurance on a 20+ year old sports car will be rather high.

When I was 19 and had just purchased my RX-7, I was paying just about $700 a month on a perfect driving record. Just to give you an idea.

i'm 24 with a clear record and got quoted $380 for my 81 RX-7 and my 95 cougar every 6 months. age plays a large role. you could get married :p that would help.

Shop around for insurance. I am 23 and looking for insurance for my FD that I'll be getting soon and all companies have different quotes. Ive been quoted anywhere from $60-$300 a month. It all depends what your policy is and what your comfortable with having insurance wise. I haven't had any accidents though. Shop around it sucks but it will save you money.

It depends on a lot of things man. Age, accidents, number of cars, what company you use, what type of coverage you want like minimum or full coverage. I chose minimum on my first Rx-7 when I was 18 and I payed $35 a month. Yes Thirty five not Three hundred and fifty. My reason being is because Rx7's are such an old car and say you got in a pretty bad accident with it and you had full coverage they probably will just render your car totaled once they assess the damage because the value of the car itself isn't that high and with minimum coverage you are stuck with paying for everything which in my case is what I would want to do anyway because Id fix it myself. 9 out of 10 performance parts mean nothing to the insurance company even if all the parts are worth more then the car itself. They get there money no matter what.
