rotary engine parts questions.

can someone please inform me on where to get rotary engine parts? i have a 90 fc rx7 and i need to rebuild the engine and i cant find info anywhere on where to buy parts to do the rebuild other than for apex seals. i know i will likely need rotor housings, apex seals, and other gaskets/seals to do this, is there a website to get housings from? i want to do the rebuild myself so i dont really want to ship my engine across country to rebuild my engine.

You can still buy all the engine parts at the dealer, if you wish. Prices aren't actually as high as you'd think.

There are also vendors such as Mazdatrix and Atkins who stock engine parts, gaskets sets, etc.

Or you can use the buy and sell forums on this site to find used parts if that is what you're looking for.

There's also eBay.

You may not need housings. Best to disassemble the engine and inspect before you start buying parts.

Yeah he's right. I used Mazdatrix to get my parts because when i get my 7 it was carbon locked.

Agreed. Were you to use all new parts, you are looking at about $5,000. It is better to first open up the engine to see what you do and do not need.

It sounds like you are also going to need a video so that you don't screw it up. Or rather, so you have less chance of screwing it up, lol. These websites also offer rebuild kits and parts.

Free video clips:
Pineapple Racing - Rotary Engine Rebuild Videos

Videos that you can buy:
Atkins Rotary - Instructional Rebuild DVD (ARE56)
Mazdatrix - Videos
Rotary Aviation - Books and Videos

ok thanks a lot guys lol im an idiot, i have been to mazdatrix before but i saw that some rotors were discontinued and i looked at it wrong and thought my rotors were no longer made. but ive been doing research on youtube and reading the service manual to prepare myself for this. Thanks for the tip of ripping everything out before ordering parts.
