Replacement CPU for RX7 1987 Turbo??

I am wondering if anyone knows the best place to find a replacement CPU for an 1987 RX7?

I am having issues with mine. Not sure the problem.

I already resoldered the main connections and yes a few of them were coming apart as it mentiones they do, but it did not seem to help much.

The wierd thing is the main panel lights that the CPU controls will sometimes work when I first start it up in the morning but then stop working 20 minutes later and not work at all until the next day.

It is kind of frustrating. The warning lights that do not seem to work are the open hatch light, the parking break light, the seatbelt light..... probably some others but I did not try to trip them all. Also all of the lights are supposed to light up when you first start the car but that only happens like I mentioned in the morning and only sometimes.

Anyhow just wondering if anyone knew the best place to find a replacement CPU.

Have you tried resoldering the warning/idiot light panel?

If your CPU is the culprit, Mazdatrix has new boards.

About halfway down the page.

Is this the same as the pins on the CPU? I resodered all of the pins on the CPU itself. At least all of the pins that connect to wires.

Are there issues with the wires connected to the panel as well?

If so I will tear that apart and go about resoldering those as well. I already know the clock has issues as well and I can look at that at the same time then.

I didn't notice that one when I looked last time. I am assuming you were talking about the CPU without the box(FB05)? I am pretty sure if there is an issue it would be that card since everything else on the other cards seem to work fine. However the horn died, the panel lights died and whatevers stops your car from starting when the clutch isn't in died.

I am hoping the panel is just what Aaron mentioned since it seems to work at times but then stops working all of the sudden.

Remove the warning light unit, take it apart and re-solder any bad joints on the board.

Appreciate the suggestions.

So far so good. At least all the lights turn on and the warning lights I can test easily seem to be working good... well except the seatbelt (dont care too much about that one)

I guess I will have to see once I drive around for awhile. Not sure if it is just "working" and will stop working. Should know soon since it usually only takes driving it for 20 minutes when it stops working.
